After spending the night in a laid-back town of Quezon Province, my friend and I made our way to the town of Atimonan to see its famous Bantakay Falls.

✈️🛳🚌 How to get to Bantakay Falls, Quezon Province:
⏺ Ride a bus bound for Lucena, Quezon (e.g. JAC Liner and DLTB in LRT Taft-Buendia; travel time is 3.5 – 4 hours depending on traffic condition and number/duration of stop-overs).
⏺ From Lucena Grand Terminal, transfer to another bus bound for Atimonan or any bus that will pass by New Diversion Road.
⏺ Tell the bus conductor that you will be going to Bantakay Falls in Barangay Santa Catalina.
⏺ Register and secure guide/s.

If there is one thing I would do when I revisit this waterfall, it’s taking close-up photos of the main cascade. My camera would just get wet if we get near the waterfall because the drop was way too strong thus resulting to a mist that would reach us even if we’re far enough.

3:00 PM Head back to jump-off

Because it’s a weekday during rainy season, we were the only outsiders. The few people enjoying cliff-jumping by the waterfall were residents who live in the area.

We would have wanted to see Bantakay Cave which is also one of this barangay’s tourist attractions but we initially planned to see Malagonlong Bridge in Tayabas so after capturing enough photos, we trekked back to the jump-off then washed up.
