After hiking Mt. Gulugod-Baboy, we hopped on our rented boat that would take us to Tingloy. It was an organized event and I was traveling with my high school buddies at that time.

We camped out at Masasa Beach. To be honest, it was really a not so fun trip for me because I got disappointed right away with what I saw upon arrival at the beach. There were loads of garbage by the shore and we had to clean up first before we could pitch our tents. And since it was a holiday, there were lots of tourists too. Boy was it so hard to sleep that night because of noisy visitors drinking, playing music and shouting.

📜✏️ Tips/Reminders:
📌There are available homestays in the island if you wish to spend the night. You can buy your supplies at Anilao Port and cook them at your homestay or you can ask them to cook your meals for a fee.
📌You can ask the locals where you can find a guide if you opt to hike Mt. Mag-asawang Bato.
📌You can charter a private boat for island hopping (e.g. Sombrero Island and Sepoc Island).
📌Always confirm with your homestay the schedule of boat trip going back to Anilao Port as the schedule is not fixed.
📌Expect rain and rough sea condition during monsoon season (June-February).
📌You can join organized travel events online.
📌Always observe the LNT principles.

The next day, it was time to prep for our hike in Mt. Mag-asawang Bato. I had to admit, the trek was a bit challenging since the trail was not that established and we had to brace through tall grasses to reach its peak.

We had our lunch after our descent from Mag-asawang Bato then headed to the wharf where our boat was. We capped off our weekend getaway by having a side trip to Sombrero Island before going back to Manila.
