Taytay Falls, Majayjay, Laguna, Philippines
Freezing.
That’s how I would describe the water in Taytay Falls. Even before I started traveling, my sister already told me about this place when she visited it with her friends. When I first set foot in this waterfall, I knew what she meant when she said that the water here is super cold. It actually felt like I was swimming in one of Cordillera’s waterfalls.

You’re probably wondering why my picture doesn’t have any photobombers in it. If my memory serves me true, this was taken in 2012. My friend who introduced me to backpacking took me here as part of our itinerary. It was a day trip in Majayjay and Lucban. Believe it or not, it’s actually a weekend and luckily, we were the only people during our visit. It was the onset of rainy season and I guess people were just not in the mood to have a swim amidst that bed weather.
