BATANGAS [Isla Verde]

Isla Verde, Batangas, Philippines
For a Mindoreno like me, I always pass by this island whenever I’d go home to visit my parents in the province. But it was just in 2016 that I got the chance to explore Isla Verde.

I was still going through some bouts of separation anxiety from my recent trip in Mindanao at that time. My friend then invited me to join an organized travel event with him in Verde Island. I said yes right away. The event fee was cheap and it’s near Manila anyway.

Isla Verde, Batangas, Philippines
For someone who has been to loads of beaches with consistent fine sand, Isla Verde would be a disappointment. However, this island was known for its rich marine biodiversity instead. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to swim in the snorkeling area since we camped out on the other side of the island.

📜✏ Tips/Reminders:
📌The schedule of the public boat leaving for Isla Verde from Tabangao and vice versa is only once a day. It leaves between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM while it leaves for Tabangao the next day at around 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM.

Day Two was much more fun. We went on an island tour and got to see the other side of Isla Verde facing Mindoro. The water here was much more inviting. My apologies since I didn’t get to take photos though. If time permits, I’d surely come back.
