Dampalit Falls, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines
It may not be as jaw-dropping as most of the waterfalls I have explored but hey, I could not complain because this one is near Manila and just a few minutes of trek away from the national highway.

I’ve been here thrice but it was only on my second try that I was able to see it with cascading water. The first and third instances were both a disappointment since the waterfall was dried up.

All of these photos were shot on my third visit as I didn’t take any pictures during my first two trips here. There was nothing to capture because the waterfall “did not exist” due to the dry spell.

This is one of the things that I really love about traveling. The unpredictability and element of surprise when you get to your destination. After all, we can’t always get what we want. So don’t be frustrated. It’s all part of the journey.

When I finally got this chance to see Dampalit Falls with a strong cascade, I couldn’t really hide my happiness. Finally, I thought to myself. If you check out other photos online, the drop of water gets mightier every rainy season. But it’s okay though. After all, I was already satisfied with what I witnessed.
