⏺ Take a plane from Metro Manila to Butuan City, Agusan del Norte (e.g. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific).
⏺ Ride a multicab bound for Carmen or bus bound for Cagayan de Oro City then alight at the town proper of Carmen (travel time: approximately 1 hour).
⏺ Hire a motorcycle that will take you to this beach resort in Vinapor.

📌This tourist spot serves as a side trip if your entry or exit point is Butuan Airport.

It was October of 2016 and it was my last day in Mindanao for my backpacking trip. After my awesome adventures in Tawi-Tawi with my friends, we flew back to Zamboanga City. They already went back ahead of me to Manila. I was traveling alone again. So I was on the road passing by some waterfalls along the way until I reached Cagayan de Oro City. It was late in the evening when I hopped on a bus in Agora Terminal bound for Butuan City which was my exit point in this adventure leg.

I arrived at 6:00 AM in the laid-back town of Carmen. I stopped by a small eatery to have my breakfast. I then went straight ahead to the terminal of motorcycles that would take me to this awesome place where I could relax.

I was really mesmerized when I first saw pictures of this on the internet so I took advantage of this opportunity to visit this cave pool whilst I was here in Agusan.

I left my huge backpack at the small canteen of the resort and took a dip at the pool tucked inside this cavern.

The place gives off this very comforting vibe which I really love. I was glad that it was early and I was the only visitor at that time.

After I was finally satisfied with my long exposure shots, I went to this part of the resort before going back to the canteen to have my lunch.

The motorcycle driver who brought me to the resort picked me up at the agreed time. I waited for a bus by the national highway but luckily, there’s this multicab parked near the eatery where I ate that morning. It was en route to Butuan City.

After an hour of travel, I was already at Robinsons Mall waiting for my friend living in Butuan. I would be spending the night at his place before my flight back to Manila the next day.
